Microsoft Visual Studio will sponsor the inaugural visit of GRAND-AM Road Racing to Road Atlanta on Friday and Saturday.
Microsoft will appear as race event entitlement sponsor of the headline GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series race, the Visual Studio Ultimate Grand Prix of Atlanta, on Saturday, at 4:30 p.m. ET (SPEED, live).
The unique sponsorship program includes the entitlement for the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series race, the PricewaterhouseCoopers 250. That event will kick off Saturday's full lineup of race action, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
"We are pleased to have Microsoft Visual Studio join with Road Atlanta to present this historic debut of GRAND-AM," said Road Atlanta President and General Manager Geoff Lee. "With the added involvement of Microsoft and their partners as event sponsors we are confident it will be an outstanding inaugural event."
Microsoft Visual Studio also selected Anthem Media to manage, develop and implement a comprehensive customer engagement event and media platform for the weekend for Visual Studio, Microsoft's application development solution.
The weekend will feature a variety of events for Microsoft customers highlighting the Visual Studio "team based" focus on application development and lifecycle management. In addition, Visual Studio will be promoting its "Humanitarian Toolbox" initiative which was established to assist global humanitarian efforts through collaborative development and distribution of innovative software tools.
"When Anthem approached us with the concept to deliver this unique customer engagement experience at the Grand Prix of Atlanta, we were immediately excited," said Matt Nunn, Visual Studio's director, developer tools product marketing. "With the inaugural GRAND-AM Rolex Series race at Road Atlanta generating so much excitement in the market, it is a great opportunity for us to participate and share that with our customers."
PwC, an international accounting and business services firm, joins the weekend's activities as part of the Visual Studio's "Team to Win" themed activation.
Along with PricewaterhouseCoopers, SilverPop, provider of engagement marketing solutions, and Manhattan Associates, a global supply chain solutions provider, will also be part of the weekend's activities.
