The 24 Hours of Lemons Dec. 9-10

At the first 24 Hours of Lemons in ‘06, most drivers were guys who’d been too slow, too cheap, or too chicken to try "real" racing before.

In other words, typical gearheads.

That included series creator Jay Lamm, a longtime auto journalist who loved the idea of racing but hated the seemingly endless costs, hassles, and bad vibes that came with getting started. So Jay created a just-for-fun endurance roadracing series that limited car values to $500 or less, let folks go wheel-to-wheel just on their street license, and pushed away the aggro fun-spoilers with rules like Lemons 2.4, one that specifically prohibits whiners.

Anheuser-Busch and Road Atlanta Continue Partnership into 2017 and Beyond

Leon Farmer rejoins the Road Atlanta family of partners just in time for one of the most exciting seasons to date for the world-famous road racing facility. This year marks the 20th running of the Motul Petit Le Mans, a monumental anniversary for the 10-hour sportscar race that began in 1998 and has flourished into an internationally-renowned racing destination.

Michelin and Road Atlanta Team Up For Excitement

Michelin has enjoyed great success in competition at Road Atlanta and beginning in 2017, Michelin will be the Official Tire of Road Atlanta and the Official Tire of Motul Petit Le Mans, as announced by track officials today.

Located just over 100 miles from the Michelin North American headquarters in Greenville, S.C., the 2.54 mile Road Atlanta circuit has long been referred to as a "home track" for Michelin. Michelin has competed at every Petit Le Mans event since the inaugural race in 1998, and is the winningest tire maker in Petit Le Mans history, having claimed 16 overall race wins, including a stunning overall race win by a Porsche GTLM class entry in the rain-soaked 2015 event.
