VP Racing Fuels and Their Stay Frosty Coolant Brand Acquires Naming Rights to IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Race at Michelin Endurance Challenge Weekend
The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge race set for Sunday, Sept. 6 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta has been named the VP Racing Stay Frosty Coolants 240, track officials announced today. This four-hour sports car race is part of Michelin Endurance Challenge Weekend, which begins Friday, Sept. 4.
The Michelin Endurance Challenge Weekend is comprised of six races across four different IMSA series and will close with the newly named VP Racing Stay Frosty Coolants 240, showcasing the GS and TCR classes of the Michelin Pilot Challenge series, as the weekend finale.
“VP Racing Fuels is proud of our partnership with Michelin Raceway and IMSA,” said Chris Wall, VP’s Senior Director of East Coast Race Fuel Sales. “We are pleased to highlight the Stay Frosty line of race ready and high-performance coolants. VP continues to grow its offerings to meet the needs of both racers and consumers.”
VP Racing Fuels is the official fuel and long-standing partner of the north Georgia racetrack, as well as IMSA. In addition to its existing activation with the facility, VP will also be featured on prominent track signage, displayed as a vendor in the Fan Zone and will be a part of the pre-race and post-race ceremonies.
“VP Racing Fuels has invested in Michelin Raceway for many years, so we’re glad this additional partnership came together to really put them in the spotlight for this event,” said track president and general manager Rick Humphrey. “This is the perfect venue and race to promote VP’s line of racing coolants, as this crowd is going to be full of enthusiastic fans here to witness some exciting competition.”
In addition to the VP Racing Stay Frosty Coolants 240, the weekend will also feature the six-hour TireRack.com Grand Prix at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, as well as two races for each the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama and Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America competitors.
The IMSA series will return to Michelin Raceway Oct. 14-17 as the fall classic Motul Petit Le Mans. Tickets and camping packages for both events are on sale now at roadatlanta.com.
