Renewed Entitlement Partnership for the FOX FACTORY 120 Race
Fox Factory has renewed its entitlement partnership of the FOX FACTORY 120 race, which is part of the annual Motul Petit Le Mans weekend at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, as announced today as part of the FOX FACTORY 120 pre-race ceremonies.
Traditionally, the FOX FACTORY 120 runs on Friday of the Motul Petit Le Mans weekend as a 120-minute endurance race for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and the series season finale event. This competition serves as the big lead-in to the 10-hour Motul Petit Le Mans on Saturday, Oct. 12, which features the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. That will continue to be the case for years to come, as Fox Factory has signed another multi-year agreement with the north Georgia racetrack.
In 2017, Fox Factory became the title partner of the Friday race and has been involved in the promotion of the event ever since. This union has become the longest-standing partnership of the Friday race during Motul Petit Le Mans weekend since its inception.
Other than serving as the entitlement partner of the FOX FACTORY 120, Fox also calls Michelin Raceway home. One of the company’s technology innovation centers is based just outside the main gate of the facility and Fox sponsors the off-road trails on the western side of the Michelin Raceway property.
“This year marks 50 years of FOX suspension innovation, pushing potential further in our never-ending pursuit of maximum performance,” said Mike Dennison, Chief Executive Officer of Fox Factory. “Continuing our sponsorship of the FOX FACTORY 120 race is just another way we celebrate and connect our passion of winning through racing. We are proud to solidify our position as not only a race partner, but also a good steward within the local community.”
“Fox Factory has been an exceptional partner not only to our facility, but also as the FOX FACTORY 120 race sponsor for many years,” said Rick Humphrey, president and general manager of Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. “To know that they will continue to support this race is not just a testament to the value of being involved with this event, but also to the commitment that Fox Factory has to our motorsports community. We are proud to offer some of the greatest racing in the world to our fans, and that continues this weekend with the FOX FACTORY 120.”
The 27th Annual Motul Petit Le Mans weekend kicked off on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and culminates with the 10-hour IMSA WeatherTech Championship season finale endurance race on Saturday, Oct. 12. This four-day event also features competition from the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in the FOX FACTORY 120, the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin, and Porsche Carrera Cup North America. Tickets are still on sale at the gate or at www.roadatlanta.com.
