2021 Major Events Schedule Announced

The 2021 competition season at Michelin Raceway is just around the corner and with it comes a brand-new year of exciting action and family-friendly weekend plans that you don’t want to miss out on! The 2021 spectator season at the track officially kicks off on March 26th through 28th with the Atlanta Speed Tour featuring the Trans Am Series. This amazing weekend of American muscle competition is followed by the HSR Mitty, April 23rd through 25th, where the iconic Corvette brand will serve as the featured marque. Two-wheeled action returns to Michelin Raceway April 30th through May 2nd for MotoAmerica Superbikes at Atlanta – a full three days of 190+ mph superbikes, tons of family fun, camping and so much more! Witness six classes of competition on track battling it out for the top spot. The spring season at Michelin Raceway wraps with Drift Atlanta, May 7th and 8th. The Formula DRIFT competitors are ready to bring the heat for a thrilling weekend of smoking tires and sideways runs down the back straight and through the keyhole as they’re judged on their precision and technique. Make sure to mark your calendars for the greatest fall tradition in motorsports – the 24th Annual Motul Petit Le Mans! This four-day festival of speed runs October 6th through 9th next year and will serve as the final race and championship decider for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. No. 10 Konica Minolta Cadillac Squad Seizes Opportunistic Victory

Ryan Briscoe and Renger van der Zande extended their points lead in the IMSA Weather Tech SportsCar Championship with a surprise victory in the 23rd annual Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Van der Zande and the No. 10 Cadillac DPi.V.R were running in third place, nearly 20 seconds in arrears of Pipo Derani (No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac) and Ricky Taylor (No. 7 Acura Team Penske Acura ARX-05) when the leaders came together in Turn 6 with around 12 minutes to go in the 10-hour endurance race.

No. 911 Porsche, No. 63 Ferrari Score Much-Needed Wins at Motul Petit Le Mans

The dark cloud that has hung over a pair of GT entries in the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season lifted under the lights Saturday night at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

The No. 911 Porsche GT Team Porsche 911 RSR and the No. 63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488 GT3 scored much-needed class victories in the 23rd annual Motul Petit Le Mans to break victory droughts.

The No. 911, with Nick Tandy, Fred Makowiecki and Matt Campbell taking turns behind the wheel, won in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class – logging Porsche’s first victory of the season and the first for the No. 911 since VIRginia International Raceway in August 2019.
